Jason helps his clients navigate a wide range of legal issues. His practice is focused on estate planning, estate administration, real estate, and business law. He has also tried a wide variety of civil and criminal cases to jury verdict or hung jury, and regularly handles appeals.

Jason graduated from N.C. State University in 1995 with a B.S. in Natural Resources, and in 1998 with a Master of Forestry. He then worked as a procurement forester for two small timber companies. In 2002, he began law school at Campbell University, where he served as Managing Editor of the Campbell Law Review. He graduated with a J.D., cum laude, in 2005.

For the first six years of his practice, Jason worked at a mid-sized law firm, where he primarily handled civil litigation for municipalities and corporations. He established his own practice in 2011 to concentrate on meeting the needs of individuals and families.

Jason has a Martindale-Hubbell rating of AV-Preeminent. He was selected to the N.C. Super Lawyers list in Estate Planning and Probate from 2019-2024, and to the Rising Starts list in General Litigation from 2013-2015. He was also included in Business North Carolina magazine’s Legal Elite in Tax & Estate Planning in 2019, 2023, and 2024. Jason is a North Carolina Registered Forester and a Certified Forester. He is also a Board Certified Specialist in Estate Planning and Probate Law.

Jason is a member of the N.C. Bar Association, Wilson County Bar Association, National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, American Agricultural Law Association, Association of Consulting Foresters, and the Society of American Foresters. He is admitted to practice in all North Carolina state courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of North Carolina, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
