Timber Transactions

Every timber sale deserves the attention of an attorney who understands the transaction. We have represented buyers and sellers in hundreds of timber transactions across North Carolina. We have also represented parties in lawsuits involving timber transactions that played out poorly. Before attending laws school, Jason gained practical experience working as a procurement forester for several years. So, we have seen every side of timber sales. Timber deeds and timber sale contracts are not all the same. Disputes over timber sales have been making their way to the North Carolina appellate courts since the 1800s. In every case, the court has analyzed the words on the contract. Those words should be clear and unambiguous. They should reflect the intent of the parties. And they should be enforceable.
