When you contact us to schedule a meeting, we will send you a package with an overview of the services we provide and how we provide them and an email link to a Personal Information Form. Our first meeting will be more productive if you complete this form in advance.
Our initial meeting will last between 30 and 90 minutes. It may be conducted in person, by telephone, or by video conference. This meeting is intended for us to discuss our planning process, your goals, and the nature of the issues you face. After the meeting, we will make recommendations about options for moving forward. If you choose to proceed, you will sign an Engagement Agreement that specifically states what services we will provide and how we will charge for these services. One-half of the attorney fee is due at that time.
After you hire us, we will confirm the design of your plan. We will then draft documents and review them with you in detail. Once the documents are in final form, we will schedule a time to sign the documents. The remaining portion of your attorney fee is due at the time you sign the documents. Depending on the complexity of your plan, we may schedule a Review Meeting after the documents are signed. At this meeting, we will review the plan once more and discuss any necessary changes to the ownership of assets or beneficiary designations.
